Veteran journalist and author Kevin Davis will discuss his latest non-fiction work, DEFENDING THE DAMNED, a riveting story of a team of battle-scarred lawyers fighting against all odds in Chicago’s  Cook County’s Public Defender’s Office.  Unflinching, gripping, and full of surprises, this is an unforgettable human story and engaging courtroom drama where life and death hang in the balance.  Book signing and reception to follow.

His stories have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, USA Today, the American Bar Association Journal, and Chicago Magazine. Mr. Davis has also authored eight non-fiction children’s books. He is a part-time journalism instructor at Loyola University Chicago and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Chicago Graham School of Continuing Studies.
