Professor Lefkovitz will also screen the short film which he helped create for Loyola and the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center – “The Double Crossing: The Voyage of the St. Louis.”

The second week in November marks the 80th anniversary of “Kristallnacht” – “Night of Broken Glass,” when in 1938, violent anti-Jewish actions, orchestrated by the Nazi government, raged throughout Germany and lands under German control. Many historians view “Kristallnacht” as the beginning of the Holocaust.
