#ExploreTheFloors – Lewis Library 8th Floor

Don’t get stuck on the sixth floor of Lewis Library! If you venture up the spiral stairwell or the library elevator, you’ll find books, computers, quiet study space, and more!

Silent Study Floor
The eighth floor is designated as the silent study floor. No cell phones or conversations, please!

Call numbers A-HD
Find books with call numbers A-HD on the eighth floor. Call number signs are also posted on the shelves to help you locate the materials you need.

Bound Periodicals
Older periodicals that have been bound into a book volume can be found on the south end of the eighth floor. Look for the salmon-colored labels on the shelves. Periodicals cannot be checked out, but you can use them in the library and make copies as needed.

Prayer Space
Need a quiet place for prayer? Check out the designated prayer space in the southwest corner of the eighth floor.

Computers
Need a computer in a quiet area? There are 11 computer workstations with ITS software and access to a MobilePrint black and white printer. Check for an available workstation here.

Other University Offices
The eighth floor is also home to the Career Development Center, the Writing Center, and the office for International Student and Scholar Services. These offices are in the northwest corner near the restrooms.
