Alumni Author Spotlight: Jason Stacy

Spoon River America

We are pleased to shine the Loyola University Chicago Libraries Alumni Author Spotlight on Jason Stacy (PhD 2006) and his book Spoon River America, a story of how a Midwesterner’s poetry helped change a nation’s conception of itself.

The Alumni Author Spotlight video series features brilliant Loyola alumni and affiliated authors throughout the year. Authors share their inspirations as well as read excerpts from their work. The Alumni Author Spotlight is an extension of a special resource, Alumni Authors catalog, created by our Friends of the Libraries advisory board member,
Dr. Peter Gilmour. Raising awareness of the authors’ accomplishments, encouraging the Loyola community to read diverse topics, and creating a sense of community are the goals of this project. We hope you will enjoy learning about some of Loyola’s finest alumni authors!
