This winter everything will be better.
The harbingers of music will all be there,
we’ll have new wool suits for the circle
of the buffalo and the owls that will all be

the harbingers of music, always there.
This winter everything will be better-
for the buffalo and the owls and the elk,
and for us in our new wool suits listening

to them, the harbingers of music always there,
inflecting the notes of the songs in the voice.
This winter everything will be better.
We will sit gathered and loved and warm,

with the buffalo and the owls and the elk
perfecting our songs in the snow,
all of us in our new wool suits, listening,
singing, as harbingers of music always there.
