“You were once wild here. Don’t let them tame you.” — Isadora Duncan

Trina Maeby Mabborang is a Chicago-based artist, illustrator, curator, and founder of Trina Maeby Crafts. With her BFA from the University of Illinois in Chicago and years of doodling, she celebrates all things women and whimsical. Her most recent work captures sultry young women decorated in themes of nature and geometric shapes. In just black and white with small accents of red, this series captures the audience in the psychedelic delicacies of nature. The juxtaposition of the organic and geometric create a balanced imbalance. Trina Maeby continues to extend this series to women of all colors and create art in celebration of Feminism. Trina Maeby now curates for the “Night Market & Exhibition”- an art show that features upcoming local artists and small business owners. Through Art Show Facebook groups and her MeetUp group (Artists, Makers, and DIY’ers of Chicago), she wishes to create an art community that is accessible to emerging artists of all levels and backgrounds.
