Trained in Religious Studies, Dr GUO Ting is an active researcher and writer interested in (post)secularism and political religion, and religion, gender, STS. She has published in journals including Journal of Religion and Film, Culture and Religion, and Implicit Religion, and worked for the European Studies Centre at St Antony‚Äôs College, University of Oxford, and was a Templeton postdoctoral fellow at Purdue University before fate brought her to Hong Kong. She is currently writing a book on love as a political and post-secular discourse in modern China – or put simply, the politics and politicisation of “love”.
