Ms. Monk Kidd’s The Mermaid Chair was nominated for the 2006 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and won the 2005 Quill Award in General Fiction. Her best-selling novel The Secret Life of Bees has been acclaimed a literary success. Currently living in South Carolina, Sue Monk Kidd is a woman of faith and strength, who puts her beliefs into her work.
