Thank you to everyone who responded to the University Libraries 2011 Survey. We really appreciate the hearing from you. One response that got out attention was this: When asked, “What would make the library space more inviting and comfortable?” over 350 people responded, “More comfortable chairs.”
Since conducting the survey, we’ve purchased new chairs for all of the the computer desks on the 1st floor of Cudahy Library and all of the chairs in the mezzanine. We’ve also received some hand-me-down chairs in very good condition from Corboy Law Center and Halas. In total, we’ve added more than 200 Cudahy Library chairs over the summer and we hope you’ll be more comfortable as a result.
