First Proquest produced the landmark Early English Books Online (EBBO). Years later, Gale developed Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) to great fanfare. Now Gale has launched Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) and Loyola University Libraries are pleased to be among the first subscribers. Content is being sourced from around the world and will be made available in topical collections that will be released over the next three to five years. The collections include a variety of content types–monographs, newspapers, pamphlets, manuscripts, ephemera, maps, statistics, and more. With the launch of NCCO, Gale created a robust new search platform as well as new annotation and tagging tools that will enhance scholarly productivity. You can view a short (5 min) presentation about these tools by product manager Michael Levy.
The first four modules are now available. Click on the title to find out more about the collection.
