Welcome back to school for the Fall 2013 semester! We are very excited to share with you What’s New at the Libraries!
*Lower Level Cudahy Quiet Study Space – A large area has been set aside as a new quiet study space for students. The study space features new carpet, new furniture, more seating, and more outlets.
*Upgraded Wireless – Fret no more about having reliable Wi-Fi coverage in the Libraries! ITS upgraded and added wireless access points throughout Cudahy Library this summer.
*IC Featured Collection – This Fall we’ve rolled out our first “pop-up” collection. On display until September 13th, the first collection contains fiction and non-fiction books about Chicago. Find the collection on the IC first floor and check out the books at the IC first floor desk.
*Edward Gorey Exhibition – Arriving at LUMA in February 2014, the University Libraries has partnered with LUMA to bring this exhibition to campus. Throughout the fall and spring, both the Libraries and LUMA will be holding many events and activities to celebrate the work of Edward Gorey. Right now you can find Gorey posters hung throughout the Libraries. Stay tuned for future events.
