State Papers Online has extended to include the period 1714 to 1782 with the release of State Papers Domestic, Military, Naval, and the Registers of the Privy Council. This content builds on our library’s existing access papers dating from 1509 to 1714 and is composed of government manuscripts on early modern English politics and culture. It documents the establishment of the British Empire as a dominant Colonial power, the development of agriculture and industrialization, as well as the European Enlightenment.
