The John Cotton Dana Award honors outstanding library public relations campaigns. The award is sponsored by the H.W. Wilson Foundation, the American Library Association, and EBSCO. Up to eight $10,000 awards are granted each year by the H.W. Wilson Foundation, and the winners are recognized at an awards ceremony sponsored by EBSCO during the ALA Annual Conference.

The Loyola University Libraries’ Public Relations & Outreach Committee submitted an application based on the Celebrate Gorey campaign of programming and outreach related to the 2014 Edward Gorey exhibitions at Loyola. These exhibitions were presented by the Loyola University Chicago Libraries and Loyola University Museum of Art in cooperation with the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust.

More information about the 2015 award winners can be found in the ALA press release. The Loyola Libraries’ winning submission and the other 2015 winners can be viewed here.
