On behalf of the University Libraries, welcome to the 2015-16 academic year! We hope you had a good summer and are ready for a productive and exciting time at Loyola University Chicago. We especially welcome the class of 2019 and our first class of students at Arrupe College. We also warmly welcome the more than 80 new faculty members joining the Loyola family this year. The library staff stands ready to help all our users with their information needs.
While the library staff has had some time for vacation the past three months, we have also been working hard on your behalf to implement a new software package for the library system. The most visible impact of our new computer system is a single search box on our website (libraries.luc.edu). This “Google-like” box allows you to search our print collection of 1.4 million volumes, tens of thousands of electronic journals and books, hundreds of databases, and more.
Check this blog on a regular basis for news about the library and its services and programs. We welcome your feedback and suggestions. Best wishes for a great semester!
