Long Lost Chocolate Treasures
10. Seven Up bar (last produced in the 1970s) – If you loved chocolate but couldn’t decide if you like chocolate & nougat, or chocolate & mint, this was the candy bar for you. It contained seven different flavor combinations.
9. Butter Nut (1960s & 1970s) Very gooey, very good.
8. Hollywood Candy Company’s Milkshake (1970s) – Similar to a Milky Way but with a Malted milk chocolate flavor
7. Chocolate covered Graham Crackers (1980s) – the only way to find this now is retro-food or specialty companies or stores
6. Bar None from Hershey’s (production ceased in the last 90s) – Wafer, chocolate and nuts
5. Hostess Suzy-Q – Gone in 2012 when Hostess went bankrupt due to a baker’s strike. Unlike the Twinkie and Sno-Balls, the devil’s food treat had not been brought back by the 2013 revamped Hostess Brands, LLC
4. Before the Heath Bar, before the Skor, Hershey’s made the Butter Chip bar, and it used to part of the bag of miniatures that was available usually at Christmas. It was the best buttery toffee and chocolate combination ever.
3. No longer available in the USA, Canada and England have their versions but the Mars bar, they do not compare to the original with an almond in every bite.
2. Golden Pecan from Hershey’s was short-lived perfection, available for a couple of years in the 80s. The bar’s milk chocolate was the perfect texture and test with the pecans. They still make the Golden Almond but it doesn’t compare to the pecan.
1. . . . and the most missed, most iconic chocolate treasure was the Dressel’s Chocolate Fudge Whipped Cream Cake, that was available in most grocery store frozen section for sixty years of awesome. It thawed flawlessly with no preservative aftertaste, just chocolate fudge, whipped cream, butter, nuts, and impeccable. This cake was great for birthdays, special occasions, or if Santa thought you had been on your best behavior for the whole year.

This is so awesome! I miss my Suzie Q’s, Bar None, and Skor. They bring back the good memories of my childhood.
I miss the old Mars bars that had the 6 almonds on top. I liked to pick them off and eat the candy bar. They ruined it when they started churning the almonds inside. Today if you want one you have to buy the Snicker Almond.
