Loyola University Chicago’s Friends of the Libraries group was founded more than a decade ago as an organization that supports our vision of being Loyola’s gateway to the world of information and scholarship. Through an annual gift, individuals become “Friends” or members who support our mission of providing user-focused services and collections in an inviting, collaborative, and innovative learning environment for the Loyola community.

How do Friends support our mission? Friends of the University Libraries understand the critical importance of the Libraries as the center of learning and intellectual growth on our campus. They provide financial support to ensure that a wide variety of audience can be served and has access to print and electronic materials, rare books, special collections, digital resources, expert research assistance, well-equipped library spaces, and other initiatives. Their support enables us to sponsor programs and special events that connect the Loyola community and the nearby neighborhoods with the intellectual contributions of others from past to present.
