The University Libraries have WorldCat Local with the new Library search, but we still have access to the WorldCat database of books and other materials from library collections around the world.
There are two methods for accessing WorldCat:
This interface looks just like the interface for WorldCat Local, but it only contains records from the WorldCat database, whereas WorldCat Local included data from many of our online article databases. If you are searching for books, including book that we don’t have at Loyola, this is a user friendly place to search that includes some useful features such as direct linking to individual book records.
This access to the WorldCat database is designed more for advanced searches and allows more options for constructing a specific search. However, it does not have some of the useful features you’ll find in Open WorldCat, such as direct links to book records.
