A Liberator and Survivor of the Nazi Concentration Camps Speak on the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation

Please join us for an opportunity to learn from Mr. John Coath and Mr. Steen Metz.
Mr. Coath is a decorated World War II veteran and liberator of Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria. He will relate his wartime experiences and will recount his deeply etched memories of the appalling, unimaginable conditions he encountered in liberating the dehumanized survivors of one of the most terrible Nazi camps.
Mr. Metz is a Danish child survivor who was a prisoner in the infamous Theresienstadt ghetto/concentration camp in the former Czechoslovakia. He will share his experiences as a young child in this “Gateway to Auschwitz”, the recollections of his bittersweet liberation and the fate of Danish Jewry during the Holocaust.
