After 15 years and millions of visits from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members, the time has come for an Information Commons refresh. Carpeting and furniture will be replaced in the building during the summer of 2023. To ensure everyone’s safety, the Loyola Information Commons will close on May 13. The building will reopen in advance of fall semester, though some spaces may require additional work into the fall semester.
Floors 1-3 of Cudahy Library will be fully open for access to books, service desks, and study spaces. The Lower Level will be staff only to allow work on the building’s stormwater systems. IC services, including the Research Help Desk, Equipment Loan program, and Writing Center, will be relocated to Cudahy Library during the summer months.
We are excited about this project and look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available, so watch this page for updates. Please let us know what questions you have about it by emailing libraries@luc.edu.
