For the past few weeks, Cudahy and Lewis Libraries have been sponsoring the Food For Fines campaign. Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! You’ve got until Wednesday, November 25th to pay off your overdue fines with non-persishables. Up to $2.50 in overdue fines will be forgiven for each donation from the following list of approved items:
– 1 (6 oz.) can of meat, fish or poultry
– 1 (14+ oz.) can of vegetables or fruit
– 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can of soup
– 6 packages of ramen
– 1 box of pasta or dried beans
– 1 (12+ oz.) box of cereal
– 1 (8+ oz.) jar of peanut butter
– personal care items: full-sized soaps, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, or feminine hygiene products)
All donations go to the Lakeview Pantry Emergency Food Distribution.
Food For Fines does not apply to fees pertaining to lost books, ILL fines, or Information Commons charges. Feel free to stop by the Cudahy or Lewis circulation desks if you have any questions!
