PsycINFO: Introduction to Effective Searching<\/strong>

Are you writing a research paper on a topic in psychology? Come learn about PsycINFO, the premier database for psychology research. This session will provide a basic overview of PsycINFO search techniques. This workshop will be of most interest to those who are new to the PsycINFO database, but it may also provide a useful review for anyone wishing to update their PsycINFO search skills. This workshop will deal with ways of finding that information. Some of the resources will be specific library resources, but this will also cover some general strategies using internet resources. Citation Searching: Tracking Research over Time<\/strong>

Citation searching allows you to identify references that cite or are cited by other scholars. Citation tracking helps find new research based on earlier research, and can identify how many times and where an article has been cited.
