Confused by call numbers? Baffled by where the books are? Stumped by study space? Lost when it comes to locations? Confounded by course reserves?<\/p>\n
We\u2019re here to help you #ExploreTheFloors of Cudahy Library! <\/strong><\/p>\n Maybe you\u2019ve noticed some new signs in Cudahy, or maybe you haven\u2019t been to visit us in a while because last time, you got lost. Over the next few weeks, we\u2019ll be posting more about #ExploreTheFloors \u2014what you can expect to find on every floor of Cudahy Library, where you can go to get help, and the study spots that\u2019ll best fit your needs.<\/p>\n Today, let\u2019s take a look at one of the signs:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n On every floor, you\u2019ll find a sign which explains what exactly is on that floor. For example, the second floor is home to the University Archives, and it also has the stacks which hold books with call numbers J through Z. In later posts, we\u2019ll explain how to read a call number, what you can find at the circulation desk, and all sorts of other things.<\/p>\n On the first floor, you\u2019ll also find this handy sign with all sorts of arrows pointing all over the place.<\/p>\n If you get to the first floor and think, \u201cOkay, but this is a library. Where are all the books?\u201d, go ahead and follow the arrows that read \u201celevators to book stacks\u201d or \u201cstairs to book stacks\u201d!<\/p>\n If you\u2019re looking for course reserves, check out, or just a friendly library employee to answer your questions, head for the circulation desk.<\/p>\n Other signs around the library will tell you where to find study space\u2014either quiet or collaborative.
