Loyola Libraries provide access to all students, faculty, staff, and to the larger Chicago community. While most of our materials are used by members of Loyola\u2019s communities, we have policies in place that extend to several outside groups. Loyola Libraries also provide access to space and technology. Whether patrons need a place to study or charge their phone, the libraries are open for them to utilize. <\/p>\n

Community access<\/a> is open to anyone with a form of identification, Monday through Saturday at the Information Commons and Cudahy Library. Community members are offered access to our internet and resources at these locations. <\/p>\n

Alumni<\/a> regain borrowing privileges once they obtain an alumni card from the University. They will then have access to both campus libraries every day of the week.<\/p>\n

Loyola Libraries are apart of reciprocal borrowing agreements that allow Loyola students, faculty, and staff to access facilities and collections of other academic libraries. Find out who our Chicago-area partners are here<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Interlibrary Loan<\/a> (ILL) provides the library community with access to research materials, such as books, articles, and microfilm that are not available from the Loyola libraries. This service is provided to current Loyola students, faculty, and staff. Community members and Alumni can utilize their local public library\u2019s ILL service when needed.<\/p>\n

It is important that our Loyola community has access to our resources even when they are off campus. That is why almost all of Loyola Libraries\u2019 electronic resources, including databases and online journals, can be accessed by current students, faculty and staff from any off campus location via our Flagship proxy server<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Loyola Libraries offer access to an array of state-of-the-art technology, equipment and applications to the Loyola community. Find out more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the semester, the Information Commons is open 24\/5<\/a> to provide students with a safe space to study throughout the night. It is important that students\u2019 access to a comfortable and safe place is met on campus. <\/p>\n

Loyola Libraries are committed to offer free and unrestricted access<\/a> to all forms of information while respecting and preserving an individual\u2019s right to privacy, autonomy, and freedom of inquiry.<\/p>\n
