The Tuesday after the Thanksgiving holiday is #GivingTuesday<\/strong>, November 30<\/strong>! Giving Tuesday<\/a> is a charity-based social media movement to inspire others to give back to their communities and simply do good for others. The movement came about in 2012 after an awareness day of international charitable giving, helping others, and celebrating generosity was created by the United Nations.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that we are back on campus and can see each other face to face, we\u2019d like to celebrate this movement with you! Loyola students, faculty, staff, and alumni exemplify the tenet of generosity and Ignatian values of being a person for others every day. Whether you have contributed your time or talents to the Libraries, told others about how the Libraries helped you, or made a gift that enabled us to sponsor events, acquire books and other resources, support digital initiatives, enhance facilities, and much more, we are grateful for you! \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So,\u00a0with that being said, we\u2019d\u00a0love\u00a0for\u00a0you to follow our social media accounts from now until November 30<\/em><\/strong> for more information\u00a0about #GivingTuesdayLUC<\/strong>,\u00a0@LUClibraries,<\/strong>\u202for\u202f@librariesLUC<\/strong>\u202fon\u202fFacebook<\/a>,\u202fTwitter<\/a>,\u00a0and\u202fInstagram.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0We\u2019ll be sharing fun photos, infographics, quotes, and information about the University Libraries. There will be some behind-the-scenes information you don\u2019t want to\u00a0miss!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also want to hear from you! Tell us why you think the University Libraries is special to you. You can also send in some pictures of your favorite memories of the Libraries and the people who have helped you! DM us on our social media platforms @LUClibraries<\/strong>\u202for\u202f@librariesLUC<\/strong> to share them with us! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
