He will read a few passages from a few of his short stories, &#8220;Seiche&#8221; and &#8220;Lunch at the Loyola Arms&#8221; and talk about the sense of place and the role of autobiography in fiction.  Q &amp; A and reception will follow.   <\/p>\n<p>Dybek&#8217;s work is heavily influence by his experiences growing up in Little Village-Pilsen, a diverse immigrant neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago. The Chicago Tribune described his works as &#8220;Spellbinding stories that are, by turns, hilarious, stunning and tragic, but always deeply moving, genuine and compassionate.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Mr. Dybek received a bachelor degree and later a M.A. in literature from Loyola University Chicago and a M.F.A. from the University of Iowa.
