Marzia Vettorato is a current Ph.D. Candidate in Civilizations of Asia and Africa (major: East Asian Philosophies and Religions) at Sapienza University, Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is currently developing a research study about the influence of divination and astral cults in the Japanese Imperial court of the Heian era (794 \u2013 1185). The work aims at pointing out the relationships occurred between the different religions, cults and mantic practices (especially those of Onmy\u014dd\u014d) which were part of the institutional system and daily life in the Imperial court, and their role in private and public issues of court members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
