Did you know that you can check out table top games at Lewis Library? And that you can check them out for 3 whole days? Well you can!

The collection has a wide range of table top games suitable for all experience levels. Our Libguide contains videos on how to play and other instructional materials. You can find out more about the games and the benefits of gaming here.

But first, let’s meet some of the games!

Bananagrams is an anagram game where letters are rearranged to make new words in different cross word formation. The first player to use all of their tiles is crowned “Top Banana”! It is a simple and fast game and great for 1 to 8 players.

Fluxx is a card game with ever changing rules, as players try to stop someone else from winning. There are different versions of Fluxx, including Batman Fluxx and Pirate Fluxx. To win the game you have to draw cards connected to a Goal card. However, the goal often changes as players swap out one Goal card for another. Fun, high intensity game that requires 2-6 players and can last 5 to 40 minutes, depending on how brutal your opponents are.

Munchkin is a satirical card game based on Dungeons and Dragons. Players kill monsters, knock down dungeon doors and level up in order to win. The game can be played with 3 to 6 people.

Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure where players collect cards of various types of train cars and claim railway routes connecting cities across America. The person with the most points, earned through completed train routes and the longest train, wins! The game typically lasts 30-50 minutes and can be played with 2 – 5 people.

These are just a few of the games we have available at Lewis Library. We also have classics like Dominoes, Jenga, and Scrabble. If you have any questions about our collection stop by the Lewis Circulation desk or email Vanessa Crouther at vcrouth@luc.edu.
