Celebrate National Library Week and Take Our User Survey!

There’s a lot to love in a library. Today’s libraries are centers of collaboration, connectivity, and community, a resource for finding answers and asking more questions. What can the University Libraries do for you?

Help the University Libraries celebrate National Library Week by taking our User Survey. We read your comments carefully, so here’s your chance to suggest a new service or give us feedback on study space!

All participants will be entered into a prize drawing: Grand Prize is $100, 2nd is $50, and 3rd is $25.

The survey ends Monday, April 18. Don’t miss your chance to tell us you think!

Again, the survey is available here.

  1. I come to the library often. I find the staff to be very helpful. I also appreciate being able to bring in something like coffee as long as we follow the rules for food or beverages. It would be nice if there were a way to have more tables that accommodate smaller groups. Many times the tables along the windows on floors 8 and 9 are filled and each only has 1 person at them. Is there any way to add more small tables by some of the individual chairs that allow only 1 student to set up and study? Other than that, I really appreciate having the library available…it is a great help!

  2. The two things I would really like to see change are to extend the library hours (past midnight) and an overall cleaner atmosphere around the computers and study tables, overall the staff is helpful and the resources are great!

  3. Mostly I use Lewis library.
Clean and nice environment and staffs are very kind.
    I like this library.
I still have a few suggestions to enhance the experience of library users.
    1. computer lab at 7th fl. : on the back side of the room, some noises (from the ceiling maybe?)are always there.
    2. Chairs: Chairs need to be replaced immediately. Most of the chairs are half-broken. These are not supposed to be lazy couches.
    3. library hours: I feel very frequently that the library hours need to be extended. Hopefully 24 hr library (not the whole library, but certain area of the libraray may be open for 24 hrs). Hours during the weekend and holiday season may also need to be considered.

  4. Larger tables and more chairs instead of the small coffee-like tables. During peak hours there is sometimes no room to study anywhere!

Also, I don’t think we should have to pay double for printing pages double sided. We are saving paper – save us some money.
