Women’s History Month: Sheryl Sandberg

Looking back at our past has always provided a multitude of powerful women that have furthered the feminist movement. But, what about the women of today? Are they not just as important? Women like Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer of one of the biggest corporations in the United States, Facebook. Not only has she held her position with Facebook since 2008, she was previously Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google. Along with her powerful position, Sheryl has two children and serves on the boards of Women for Women International, V-day, and the Ad Council. Unsurprisingly, Sheryl has been ranked one of the 50 “Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune Magazine since at least 2008. Additionally, she was ranked #19 on 50 “Women to Watch” by The Wall Street Journal. Make sure to check out the link to her discussion on why we have too few women leaders!
