To close out 2013, we asked library staff members to write lists–of anything they want. Today we feature Karen Cherone’s list of why she is just, so Raven (Symoné).
Karen is the Circulation Services Supervisor at Cudahy Library.
Why she is just, so Raven (Symoné)
1. Raven Simone first came into our lives in 1989 with her portrayal of Olivia on, “The Cosby Show.”
2. Raven wowed us with her vocal skills in 1993, when she released her first single, “That’s what Little Girls are Made Of” I would like to point out that she was a solo artist BEFORE she made it big on the Disney Channel.
3. In 2003, she came back into our lives when Disney created the show, “That’s So Raven.” I know personally I have memories of watching most if not all of its 100 episodes with my niece during Winter and Summer break from school.
4. Writers reference, “That’s So Raven” on occasion. True, it is usually just the name of the show, but who doesn’t do that?? I mean, come on…the staff at the library are just so raven.
5. She came out via Twitter after DOMA was overturned. Feel free to follow her @MissRavenSymone
