Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2017 Summer Book League! Our participants read 104,335 pages total, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
This year, we also piloted a Facebook group for our readers, and brought back extra points for reader reviews, some of which were shared in weekly update emails.
We had three raffle winners: Akeya from the department of First & Second Year Advising, Valerie Collier from the School of Education, and Sue from ITS.
Our 3 top readers were: Mark–who serves as program director for Communication Studies in the School of Communication–with 11,513 pages in third place; Margareth Schubert from the Office of the General Counsel with 15,924 pages; and our winner, Professor Emerita from the School of Nursing Esther Jacobs, PhD, RN with 15,953 pages. Such a close finish!
We’re very grateful to the Shedd Aquarium, the Chicago Wolves ice hockey team, and Summer Noodles and Rice for donating the prizes for our top readers this year.
If you participated in the Summer Book League, we’d love it if you took this incredibly short survey to help make the book league even better.
If you didn’t participate, keep an eye out next summer! We’d love to have you read with us.
