=====
I was inducted into the National Collegiate Hispanic Honors Society called Sigma Delta Pi. The society aims to honor individuals who excel in the study of the Spanish language and in the study of the literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking world; to foster an understanding appreciation and respect for the peoples, cultures and societies of the Spanish-speaking world; and to honor those who have promoted and reinforced a better understanding of the contributions of the Spanish-speaking world. I was asked to be the ceremony’s honorary speaker where I described myself and my goals for the future. This May, I will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree. I also received an email from the College of Arts and Sciences, notifying me that I will be graduating with Cum Laude honors.
