Gratitude for Our Library Student Workers

The University Libraries employs more than 100 students who serve in various roles, including circulation desk assistants, stacks maintenance, research help, special collections or archives interns, marketing and outreach assistants, technical services support, and more. Each year, Loyola celebrates National Student Employment Week, an initiative of the National Student Employment Association, to recognize the essential contributions of student workers.

This year, the Libraries faculty and staff expressed their gratitude by compiling a yearbook filled with messages and photos for our student workers. Special thanks to staff member Jostin Trinidad for spearheading this effort. The Libraries’ Student Employment Working Group also coordinated treats for students such as cupcakes and a pizza party raffle prize courtesy of Loyola’s Career Services.

Thank you to all the students who work in the University Libraries day in and day out to help make our spaces welcoming and supportive for everyone.
