Hyeon Jung Kim was born in Seoul, Korea. Hyeon received her BFA at School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008 and studied at University of London at Goldsmiths College. She is a recipient of SAIC Fellowship Award and Korean American Scholarship Foundation. Her work has been exhibited at Royal Academy of Arts, London, Roxaboxen, NEXT, Art Chicago, Bridge Gallery, Abryant Gallery in Chicago. Hyeon attended Vermont Studio Center, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Colorado Art Ranch, ACRE, and Djerassi Resident Artists Program. She currently works in Chicago.
