Resource Spotlight: GenderWatch

Loyola is home to the Women’s Studies and Gender Studies Program but until recently, University Libraries appeared to provide a research database focused more on the Women’s Studies piece of that program title than the Gender Studies part! GenderWatch* is a newly accessible research database that allows users to locate articles and other sources on topics related to gender and sexual orientation. Its coverage is different from that of Women’s Studies International, though researchers may notice some overlap in search results. Together the databases provide access to a large collection of diverse publications.

We believe that GenderWatch will be an important addition to research by students and scholars in many interdisciplinary areas. For more information about accessing and using GenderWatch, contact a librarian by visiting http://libraries.luc.edu/ask.

* This resource is accessible on-campus or off-campus to students, faculty, and staff after log-in with a Loyola Universal ID and password.
