Preserving & Showcasing the Treasures of Loyola

Spec Colls brochure

At Loyola University Chicago, the Libraries’ Special Collections have grown dramatically in recent years with additions of fine rare books, 18th century British caricatures, rare Torah scrolls, an Edward Gorey collection, and numerous important archival collections from the University and local citizens as well as Catholic organizations. To provide space for these and other anticipated new materials and to upgrade important infrastructure such as environmental control and fire suppression, the University Libraries have embarked on a capital campaign to renovate the Special Collections department including a beautiful new reading room. “Preserving and Showcasing the Treasures of Loyola” has a goal of raising $1.5 million for the project. If you would like to be part of this successful effort, please go to libraries.LUC.edu and click on the “Make a Gift” box.
