DVD Collection at Lewis Library

DVDS at Lewis -PhotoFunia-

Happy New Year and Spring Term from AV Services!

A new year brings exciting new services: the Lewis Library is proud to announce the opening of its new browsable DVD collections beginning January 12th, 2015!

The collection currently features over 600 items of academic and entertainment interest and will be expanding to include more popular titles and important new films. You can come check out the new collection on the 6th floor of the Corboy Law Center in the Lewis Library, and all DVDs circulate for 3 days. Want to schedule a DVD for pickup to show in your class? You can still do this by submitting the online AV form at libraries.LUC.edu/av.

We’re excited to bring this newly reconfigured collection to you and welcome your feedback. You can email us with questions, suggestions, or concerns at lib-av@LUC.edu or talk to one of our friendly Lewis Library staff members in the library!

  1. Dear Eastwestmath,

Thank you for your question! This is in response to demand from students and faculty to make our Lewis DVDs more accessible and discover-able. We hope to also show to the Loyola community that we have fun entertainment as well as important educational tools and we want the collection to better reflect the students and staff of Loyola as well!

To your main question- at this time we will not be putting any of these titles online as it would be a violation of copyright law, however we DO have a few rather large streaming video databases which may have some items of interest for you. They can be found here: http://libraries.luc.edu/databases/all?type=Video

    Cheers,
    James, your AV Librarian
