We are happy to announce that the Health Sciences Library (HSL) is now officially part of the University Libraries. This realignment, part of the One Loyola Library (OLL) initiative, is pivotal step toward ensuring more consistent services and access to resources for the entire Loyola community including students, staff, faculty, clinical affiliates, and other user groups. It will further foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Charged by the Office of the Provost, the One Loyola Library task force conducted an in-depth assessment of all LUC’s library entities—the Health Sciences, Law, and University Libraries—that included gathering input from across all campuses via focus groups and through a university-wide survey. The 15-month effort, which included researching similar work done at other academic institutions, culminated with recommendations to address the needs of users pertaining to Spaces, Materials, and Services, in support of teaching, learning, and scholarship.
We invite you to view the reports to learn more about this work.
