Resource Spotlight: The Chronicle iPad® App

If you work in higher education you are familiar with The Chronicle of Higher Education as a source for news and information from the world of academia. The Chronicle provides weekly news, articles on current trends, job postings, the ever popular Annual Salary Survey, and much more. The Libraries’ digital subscription includes the full text of the current issue which is available online every Monday morning and the archive with access to past issues from January 1995 to the present.

Those who create a personal login to The Chronicle of Higher Education can create a profile and subscribe to e-newsletters such as The Weekly Briefing. You can also join discussion forums. Work life balance, teaching experiences, and job seeking experiences appear to be popular topics.

You can now download full issues of The Chronicle of Higher Education to your iPad. First, create an account on the Chronicle’s website using your Loyola email address. Activate the account by following the directions in an e-mail that will be sent to you. Download the app at http://chronicle.com/ipad and sign in with your new account.
