Amira Hanafi lives in Chicago. She has exhibited work in Chicago galleries, published visual poetry in Diagram and Sleepingfish, organized multi-vocal readings of her texts, performed with the Clairaudient sound collective, and dispersed handmade books and multiples including Palm Reading, Mesostis, and Trinities. Her writing appeared in this year’s issue of American Letters & Commentary. A new artist’s book entitled Mixed Race Studies (A Reader) is forthcoming.
