Julianne Hill is a Chicago-based writer and producer. Her short essay film “So, Mary?” screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Chicago REEL Shorts Film Festival, where it earned an Audience Choice Award. Her essays and reportage for radio, television, print and online have appeared in outlets including “This American Life,” “Morning Edition,” PBS, The History Channel, Writer’s Digest and Triquarterly Online. Hill currently is a MFA candidate in the creative nonfiction program at Northwestern University, many years after graduating with a journalism degree from Ohio University. She teaches producing writing for radio and television at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy and has taught journalism at Loyola University Chicago.
