Yasi Ghanbari is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Chicago. Ghanbari received her MFA in Film, Video, and New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2010. Ghanbari is interested in examining modes of legitimation that surround various artistic practices. She considers these modes against a myriad of subjects including the body and identity; she constructs art from tension.
