i tie a ribbon to a tree

leave milk and honey     the white fleece of a young ram

i borrow the best picked men

we sing     welcome first earth     first mother

we carve on each other’s bodies

rivers woods valleys

every evening flower

i do love

that single hurt color     a blue

memory     second burial

true true feeling     daddy is dead

we feast

i do not seek

to dwell beastish     brutish

banished     disobedience

to person or to poem

who do i womb
