Laura Bityou Beriau is an author driven to make a positive and lasting impact on others. Before writing children’s books, Laura dedicated her life to education as a teacher and school administrator. Her love of writing began in college where she double majored in English and Political Science and minored in Women’s Studies at Loyola University Chicago. She went on to get two masters degrees, one in Secondary Education and the other in Educational Administration.

As a first-generation Assyrian American, Laura learned an invaluable lesson from her parents: education is the only thing no one can take from you. This lesson ignited her passion for reading, writing, and equity in education.

Now, as a mother of two, Laura is continuously inspired by the love of her children and husband and fueled by the relationships with her family and friends.
