Lisa Caputo Love

Lisa Caputo Love is a Learning Behavior Specialist and National Board Certified teacher, with endorsements in teaching English Language Learners, Middle School Instruction, Science, and Social Sciences. Love has worked in Chicago Public Schools — the nation’s third-largest school district — for over fifteen years, during which time she has also served as a Teach Plus Fellow and Senior Fellow, taught as an adjunct professor for the Loyola University Chicago School of Education, and served for several years as Program Director for Saturday Place (an educational non-profit). A vocal proponent for teacher leadership (drawing on the expertise of teachers to inform and implement educational policy), Love has served on the CPS Teacher Advisory Council and her school’s Local School Council. Love holds three master’s degrees in Special Education, Instructional Leadership, and Educational Leadership, and was named the Chicago Foundation for Education Teacher of the Year for 2018.
